A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Hickory, NC. This contract role runs for the current school year, from ASAP through May 29, 2026, with an emphasis on providing comprehensive speech therapy services to both elementary and middle school students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students across elementary and middle school levels.
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.
- Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
Qualifications And Experience
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), with a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred.
- Experience working in public school settings with children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques appropriate for school-aged children.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite full-time, Monday through Friday, averaging 37.5 hours per week.
